A seemingly harmless Halloween prank on a neighbor takes a dark turn.
This was the first short film I ever worked on! EVER!!!! It was a project for the first level Film class at SCAD, FILM 100 - Digital Film Production: Story to Screen. I worked as the Production Designer, and it was so so so much fun.
We shot it in 12 hours, blocking out the interior windows with tarps and trashbags to help keep the nighttime illusion. Even though I was running on approximately 4 hours of sleep having stayed up all night to finish the costuming, it was such a blast to work with this team. We were all bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, and eager to get our first project (for me at least) under our belts.
The time from script to the final cut was around I want to say 5 weeks, only half of our quarter dedicated to the project. I don't think many of us (if any of us) knew exactly what we were doing or what we needed, so it was easy to get done. Funny how that works...
